Hello members!

It’s been a busy couple of months for the CNAA! Don’t miss out on all the fun new stuff we have going on.

 RETREAT:

Our winter retreat is right around the corner. If you haven’t already signed up, now is the time.

We have a lot of exciting topics to cover this year, plus product demonstrations from our founding vendor partners.

Attending members should get excited! We have many workshop leaders and guest speakers from the Catholic school athletic community, including Bob Ladouceur and Erik Karros.

The retreat will be held January 28-29 at the Sheraton Hotel in Los Angeles.

WEBSITE:

Our website, thecnaa.org, got a makeover. Check it out and click around. Under the ‘Partners’ link you can learn more about our founding vendor partners and the discounts they offer CNAA members. We also have tabs dedicated to retreat, membership, the CNAA blog and more.

WEBINARS:

One part of the CNAA mission is to help propel Catholic school athletic programs through education. We’ve started producing webinars to assist our members in making the best decisions for their schools.

Right now we have a webinar live on the website that focuses on how to use social media within an athletic program or department. We also have social posts available for your use to help jumpstart your social media account. Watch the webinar and then download the posts to get started.

EXPANSION:

The CNAA has added many new members lately, expanding our network of Catholic school athletic departments. While we started as a California-only organization, we have recently added schools from five more states—Michigan, Connecticut, Oregon, Washington, Texas and Florida. That’s in addition to members we already have from California, North Carolina, Arizona and Illinois.

NEW PARTNERSHIP:

We recently partnered with Play Like a Champion, which provides education and programs for coaches, parents and student-athletes in youth and high school sports.

Representatives will be at the 2019 retreat as to meet members and talk about their mission to promote an inclusive, developmentally oriented youth sports culture. We’re looking forward to working with this organization in order to further improve and build our network.

RETREAT VENDORS:

In an effort to bring more vendor partners to the CNAA’s annual retreat (and offer even more value to our members) we’ve launched a national campaign for vendors who want to help support the CNAA. The response has been strong and we will be sold out of our vendor partnerships for the 2019 retreat. The goal is to foster long-term relationships with these partners that will provide sustainable deals for our membership beyond retreat.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all at retreat next month! If you have any questions, shoot me a message at leo@thecnaa.org
